Hide and Seek & Bellagio

Today we were going to Bellagio where all the rich people have their holidays. Because it’s really nice there I wanted to look good so I wore my new dress and put my hair in piggy tails.

We had to walk to the next village to get the boat and to get there you walk along a path that runs on the side of the hill with lots of steps and trees. I decided to play hide and seek along the way. Can you find me in these photos.

The boat trip to Bellagio was really nice because the lake was really blue and we could see the villages along the lake and I could even see our house.

At Bellagio we had an explore of the town and of course more gelati. Mum looked for George Clooney because he is supposed to live there but didn’t find him. There were lots of really nice houses that I would have loved to stay in.

We went home and had a swim.

It was a good day but my highlight was wearing my new dress.

Birthday on Lake Como

I was very excited because today was my birthday and we were having it at Lake Como. It was a really pretty place to be celebrating turning 9.

When I woke up I got all my presents. I got lots of nice things like a dress, books, earrings and jewellery plus some Euros from my Grandad and Aunties and Uncles.

Then my Grandad+ Uncle Matty, Aunty Mel and Harry called me from Australia. I had a great chat to them which made me really happy but miss them too.

To celebrate we had a really nice lunch in a restaurant overlooking the lake at Varenna which was the next village to where we were staying.

But the thing I had been looking forward to the most was FIVE FLAVOURS OF GELATI that my Dad had been promising me for ages. I had blueberry, vanilla, peach, coconut and fruit di bosco.  We went out for a special desert that wasn’t gelati after dinner too.

It was also the first time it had ever been hot on my birthday since it’s in July.

I had the best birthday ever. I rate it a 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 out of 10.

Venice

We were sad to be leaving France because we had such a good time. The next part of our big trip was starting and we were going to Italy which I was excited about. My Mummy and Daddy had told  me there is lots of great gelati, pizza and pasta.

Our first stop in Italy was Venice. We flew into the airport and had to get a boat instead of a bus or train because Venice has no roads just canals. We went to our apartment dropped off our bags and had a big walk around the town.

I really liked crossing all of the bridges and seeing all of the boats and gondolas trying to go through the really narrow canal streets.  Instead of having normal parking spaces like we are used to they had wood sticking out of the water for people to tie their boats to.

The buildings were really close together and streets really narrow. There were lots of shops and market stalls with great things to buy. I bought a mask.

Then it was time for something I was really looking forward to, Pizza. We found a little pizza shop and bought a big slice of really yummy pizza for my dinner. It was bigger than my head! For dessert we had, you guessed it, gelati. That was really yummy too.

Venice was very different to every other place we’ve been on our trip and I really liked it.

Disneyland

We meet our friend at the station to go on the train to Disneyland. I felt really luck to be going there because lots of people never get to go. Once we got off the train we scanned our tickets and went into the park.

Our first stop was Frontier Land which was like the American Old west and it had antlers on the sign when we went in. We lined up to go on Big Thunder Mountain, I was sitting next to Zoe. It was a big ride that went downhills, to the side into the dark and made you lose your stomach. It was good fun but a bit scary too because it was my first proper rollercoaster.

After the rollercoaster we went to the haunted house. To get in you have to go on a big lift. Before it started it had pictures of girls and boys. When we went down the lift there was something scary underneath them that you couldn’t see at the start. Then we went into the seats and went through the house and saw lots of ghost bridesmaids, a zombie party, a scary robot dog, dancing skeletons. I didn’t get scared because I thought it was funny.

I also went on some other rides like the carousal (which was terribly lame), Snow White where we saw lots of movies about her and the dwarfs plus saw the evil queen which I thought was scarier than the haunted house; Pinocchio where we saw the story of his life and lined up for Peter Pan but it had “technical difficulties” so we had to come back later.

We did the famous Disney rides, The Teacups and It’s a Small World which is a boat trip that shows you all different countries. I SAW AUSTRALIA.

I met some Disney characters Eeyore, Tigger, Ariel, The Mad Hatter and Alice.

We went to a different part of the park and I drove a car, shot aliens on the Buzz Lightyear ride and skipped the queue on the Star Wars ride because we got a FastPass. The Star Wars ride didn’t move but it felt like you did.

Then it was time for the Disney Parade where all the characters came passed on floats with lots of music playing. I got to see Micky and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto.

We went back to FrontierLand, Emma and Mummy went on Thunder Mountain again and me and Daddy went back to the Haunted House – it was a bit scarier this time because it was night.

Then it was time for the light show on the castle and the fireworks. They were really loud and awesome.

Disneyland was 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 out of 10.
